The best aspect on UoE is the diversity of academic training, research skills, widening the scope of Social Science Research with Digital Humanities, as well as the immense support I am reeiving as an nerodivergent international student.
My least favourite is the limited commuting options I have when I stay working late on campus because I am a woman and I do not feel so safe to walk 20 minutes till I arrive home around midnight.

My course is PhD research, so most of taught courses criteria do not apply to me. Yet, working with a supervisor who is well placed for my PhD project, not only in terms of being a scholar herself in Kurdish Studies, but the fact that she speaks almost all the languages that I speak which are an asset in increasing the impact and quality of my data analysis when I finish my field work.

I believe Exeter is a lovely city which might be a very contested opnion as some students find it relatively small with not many activities to do. Yet, for me it is a perfect match with the weather and cheerful people who are always kind and supportive. Publich transportation is one of my major issues here, especially as a female student who stays working till almost midnight. Exeter is a safe city, it is just I am not used to walk home as buses stop after 6:30pm and I am on a very tight busget and i cannot afford a taxi every night. The very fact that makes me loves the city is another challenge when it comes to part-time working opportunities, since the city is not big so there are not so much opportunities for part-time jobs as during the academic year with the influx of student who fill part-time job openings vey quickly and eventaully it makes it very challenging to find a job.

The University of Exeter is a really good place to study. There are a lot of opportunities offered in the University like language courses, career advice services and many different societies. The University is not very old and it takes full advantage of it being in the process of continuous development investing in the infrastructure (the new buildings built recently: Forum area and Sports Park), everything's fully equipped with modern and sophisticated equipment. The University staff is also of high level. And the programmes structure is very student-friendly. It also offers a wide range of programmes to choose from, some of which are very flexible.
