This master’s in Shakespeare Studies is taught jointly between King’s and Shakespeare’s Globe. You’ll get unique access to the education and research team at Shakespeare’s Globe, where you’ll learn about early modern playhouses, audiences and performance practices. You’ll join the Globe’s radical theatrical experiment, which is inspired and informed by the unique historic playing conditions of its two beautiful theatres, the Globe and the Sam Wanamaker Playhouse At King’s, you’ll learn about early modern drama and other literary genres, consider the cultural and historical context in which Shakespeare and his contemporaries were writing, and examine the long afterlife of his works.
A minimum 2:1 undergraduate Bachelors (honours) degree. If you have a lower degree classification, or a degree in an unrelated subject, your application may be considered if you can demonstrate significant relevant work experience, or offer a related graduate qualification (such as a Masters or PGDip).
