BSc (Hons) Public Health aims to provide students with the knowledge and skills to improve and protect the health of the public and reduce health inequalities between individuals, groups and communities through co-ordinated action.This course offers the opportunities for students to develop contemporary knowledge and understanding of the diverse areas of practice contributing to public health and develop an appreciation of the wider determinants of health inequalities, social policy, related theories and their application to public health.Learn to promote people's health and wellbeing, with our BSc Public Health degree. The programme aims to provide students with the knowledge and skills to improve and protect the health of the public and reduce health inequalities between individuals, groups and communities through co-ordinated action You’ll learn to research, analyse, report, plan and implement measures for health improvement, health protection and healthcare.
On successful completion of the course, you will be able to:- Measure, monitor and report population health and well-being: health needs, risks, and inequalities: and use of services.- Promote population and community health and well-being, addressing the wider determinants of health and health inequalities.- Analyse short and long term environmental hazards to health, including global and climatic challenges- Apply evidence from research to inform practice- Evaluate the processes that inform continual improvement in the design and delivery of public health services
