Postgraduate Certificate in Education (Physics with Mathematics) PGCE

King's College London, University of London

The best aspect is the location as it’s right in the centre of London, the student life could be improved however, there are limited events that take place. There is also limited student support regarding budgeting and living tips.

I have realised the quality of the facilities (for life science students working in the laboratory) fluctuates a lot from one laboratory/campus to another since I am doing rotations across during my master year. The Guys hospital facilities in the 28th floor, location and activities deserve 5 out 5 stars. However, I believe that older buildings such as Shepherd's house or Hodking are in need of renovation (heating system, chairs) as well as the laboratory equipment (microscopes, fully functional tissue culture hoods, etc.). I have also had to commute to Denmark Hill Campus which has top notch facilities but is unfortunately not in the most ideal location (around 300 pounds for 3 months extra cost of public transport for a student living in central London)

The campus I am based (strand) at has great facilities and is a very good place to study, however I have heard from others that their campuses don't have as many facilities and aren't as comfortable to be in.

The campuses are located conveniently close to tube stations, and the laboratories have a wide range of facilities available.

I am enjoying the course, and the lecturers are great. There is loads of touristy stuff to do in London. The facilities are very busy and the university should provide more computers for students. The student union location is really good.
