There is a well-established sociology seminar series which runs throughout the year and includes both internal and external speakers. Two ESRC-funded seminar series are held by members of the sociology research group.

Research staff and students

Members of the Sociology group present their work at national and international conferences and publish widely. Recent and forthcoming publications include work on social theory and space, utopia and dystopia, friendship, confession, consumption, childhood, sexualities and research methods.
