Pathway students enrol on the undergraduate BSc Hons Pharmacology at Glasgow Caledonian University. In the first two years, they study HND Applied Biological Sciences at Glasgow Kelvin College while preparing for years 3 and 4 (for Honours) of the degree at GCU. Although you are a student enrolled on BSc Hons Pharmacology course at GCU, Year 1 and Year 2 of the course will take place at Glasgow Kelvin College.The first two years will involve you working towards achieving an HND in Applied Biological Sciences and the subjects you study will underpin the teaching at Glasgow Caledonian University in Year 3 and Year 4 of the degree.Pharmacology plays a key role in the development of new medicines. You'll learn how the body works, and how drugs can be used to manage disease states. Our degree provides a comprehensive education in pharmacology. Pharmacologists are responsible for the wide range of drugs that are available for the management of human disease. This Pharmacology degree has been developed from the long-established and respected Applied Biosciences degree.

Accepted as equivalent to one Higher as part of the overall grade profile of Highers required for entry. Any essential subjects at Higher should still be achieved in addition to the Foundation Apprenticeship.
