Overview
CIPPET offers educational training modules to support and develop registered healthcare professionals in their practice.
This module is aimed at practising healthcare professionals who are working as prescribers (supplementary or independent) who can underpin their workplace-based prescribing practice with a professional portfolio of evidence.
The portfolio will support practitioners to reflect on their experiences by mapping evidence to the Competency Framework for all Prescribers. Practitioners can choose to map their learning to a second national or international professional framework to support their practice and/or revalidation.
Career
Our programmes will develop your professional competence and confidence. They offer the opportunity to network with other healthcare professionals from a range of employers and sectors to identify future career options.
We also offer advice to help you meet your professional regulator revalidation requirements and/or leadership body credentialing processes, and support you in building a personal learning plan to enhance your career prospects.
You are required to have: an undergraduate honours degree in the first- or second-class range, or international equivalent, in a relevant healthcare subject, a current role working in, or sufficiently linked to, healthcare in the United Kingdom, evidence of being able to study at level 7 (master's level), the ability to meet any module specific entry requirements (e.g. Independent Prescribing); you will need to meet these requirements to be eligible to study these modules, a minimum of one year of relevant work experience, or sufficient evidence of how you will be supported if you do not have this existing workplace-based experience (this does not apply to modules that are designed to be studied in the first year of qualified practice), a discussion with the admissions tutor prior to submitting an application if you wish to have previous academic credits recognised.
