Accredited by the Royal College of Surgeons of England and recognised by many Indian State Medical Councils, this course encompasses teaching, clinical and research elements relating to the field of orthopaedic surgery. This includes general orthopaedics and sub-specialities such as an upper limb, foot and ankle, paediatrics and orthopaedic oncology.As a practising orthopaedic surgeon, you'll gain in-depth knowledge of the latest surgical and biomechanical techniques. You'll cover the biomechanics of all major joints, imaging techniques, trauma, gait and motion analysis, research, and statistical analysis.Alongside lectures and self-directed study, you'll get hands-on learning experiences. You'll complete dry bone workshops, have an associated clinical attachment with a consultant orthopaedic surgeon, and participate in workshops - currently, shoulder approaches, hand and wrist, foot and ankle, spine, and navigated knee replacement - using Thiel-embalmed cadavers. These cadavers are embalmed to retain lifelike qualities, including soft tissue and fascia, and full joint articulation. This ensures an incredibly realistic learning experience.12 months Full Time
