Course summary
Develop the skills required to be a quantity surveyor for private or public clients or construction organisations. The course is accredited by the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) and by the Chartered Institute of Building (CIOB) and we aim to produce graduates who meet the academic, professional and ethical standards required by the professional bodies.

Areas studied on the course include economics in relation to the construction industry, construction law and dispute resolution methods, measurement of construction works, and building technology and sustainability. You study and appraise the financial management and cost planning of projects, the procurement methods used in the industry and gain knowledge to be able to advise and evaluate on the contract administration requirements and choices for a wide range of different projects.
