Heriot-Watt University

Fantastic university. I really like the subjects. Campus is very modern. The only drawback is that student support sometimes slow because of lots of students. Overall I really like my university.

I am an international student in Heriot Watt University Dubai. Heriot Watt University is Scottish University which has 5 campuses around the world. I think that it is a great institution for many different reasons. First of all, it helps new students in every possible way to get used to a new place what makes a transition to a new stage of education less difficult and stressful. The university also helps with careers of their students by organizing career fairs and holding drop-in sessions. Furthermore, Heriot Watt University has numerous clubs ranging from chess to dance clubs. Thanks to this, everyone can find something to their liking. Moreover, students have the opportunity to study in different countries. This chance allows them not only acquire knowledge, but also gain a cultural experience that promotes cultural exchange. Overall, Heriot Watt University provides not only various programs but also help and many opportunities for their students. However, I have some ideas how to improve some aspects of my university. Firstly, Heriot Watt University may hold more events including field events that brought students together and raised the university spirit. Additionally, the university could inform more students about events, since many of them simply do not know what they might like. Secondly, Heriot Watt University could change the buses that take students to the dorms and metro. It would also be possible to provide transport to sports grounds where training and competitions take place of our university. Furthermore, the university could give university’s T-shirts, mugs or bags to their students. In conclusion, Heriot Watt University is a great university with many opportunities for students, but a few possible changes could make it better.

Heriot-Watt üniversitey is blend of professional as well as students life all together. One of the best universities I have been to with amazing staff and proper security measures.

I love Heriot-watt’s facilities, although they’re a bit far from where I live in Edinburgh. The tutorial teachers are so helpful, informative and smart. I love the lectures, although I found some lecturers had an accent that made following along with new words and phrases quite difficult. Overall, I’m happy I chose to study at Heriot-watt.

Most importantly location is too good , and tutor is good with the facilities provided to the students but sometime it’s hard to reach the university

There needs to be prayer rooms in every floor for easy accessibility in between classes. The events organized by the student union has a lot of potential to be improved in terms of communication and inclusivity. Most of the events cater to people with an extroverted nature and even those are not that great. The university curriculum is really good and makes the studies interesting. Most of the professors I have had so far were great.
