Career prospects
Ultimately, your employability will be the key focus of this MSc. From training in computer programming to building your analytic experience with engaging case studies, your time on the course will help you develop an excellent portfolio evidencing your AI expertise.
The growth of AI is rapidly changing the way we live, work, and learn – however, there’s a considerable shortage of AI specialists across most of the world. Upon graduating from this course, you’ll be well-positioned to help meet this demand.
The expertise that you’ll gain through your studies will help you earn promotions into more senior-level positions, or even secure new opportunities in various areas such as healthcare, military, financial services, law and agriculture as a data analyst, AI engineer and Business Intelligence (BI) developer and many more depending on how you’d like to advance your career.
Students should have either an Honours (or higher) degree at 2:2 or above or international equivalent in a STEM discipline (such as computer science, physics, mathematics) or closely related subjects. Applicants must have studied, as part of their first degree, a module in mathematics (pure or applied), statistics, computing, or data analysis or equivalent professional experience (including training in coding) or applicants without relevant degree qualifications will be considered based on relevant professional experience or training, which must include competence in computer programming. This can be evidenced, for example, through a recognised course or module at level 3 or above, an industrial certificate, or a summary of programming projects undertaken.
