Solent’s MSc Cyber Security course will prepare you for pursuing a career in cyber security. This is a dynamic conversion course open to students from any academic background and is designed to launch your career in the high-demand and well-rewarded field of cyber security. You'll build a strong foundation in cyber security while gaining hands-on experience in Python programming, penetration testing, network security, cyber governance, threat intelligence, incident response, and ethical hacking.

With expert-led teaching and access to industry standard tools and labs, you'll develop both technical and strategic skills. The course curriculum is developed with input from a variety of sources, including an industrial liaison panel, to ensure students are studying the latest technology and working practices employed by industry experts.

Entry requirements

Honours degree at 2:2 or higher in any discipline, or extensive industrial experience in this area

Applicants should be able to show an interest in learning cyber security.

Qualifications equivalent to the above may also be considered – contact the University for further information.
