The faculty and teachers were amazing and extremely supportive I felt very supported through-ought and greatly enjoyed my time at the university.

The University of Westminster has been a life‑changing and incredible place to study. The university embeds employability into everything, from lessons, employability awards, and career mentoring, and beyond the classroom there are endless global and practical opportunities, even for students who may not have prior experience. Before coming to university, I had never travelled internationally, but through Westminster I’ve been able to visit South Africa, Barbados for a Microsoft programme, and Scotland for a leadership retreat to support my professional development. The university also supported me financially, making these experiences possible. These opportunities exposed me to new cultures, helped build my confidence, and strengthened my communication and networking skills. I’ve also developed professionally through roles such as being a FAN (Friend of Arriving New Students), where I supported new students during their transition into university by signposting services, offering guidance, and delivering presentations during induction week. I’m also had the opportunity to become an e‑mentor and student caller as well, continuing to support students as they settle in. These roles have helped me build strong communication and active listening skills that prepare me for life after graduation. In terms of improvements, I genuinely feel Westminster offers so much already. However, one possible enhancement could be increasing awareness of the opportunities available, sometimes students only discover schemes or programmes after they’ve taken place.

Best: There are so many options for optional modules you can take, so it really gives a good variety of modules that I am interested in which may not directly relate to my main degree. The teachers here are also lovely and very approachable, providing lots of support, and finally, the location of the campus is great. I feel safe, and it is also in central Worst: I think mainly the timetable scheduling and the process for changing modules. It is very difficult to make any changes to these, and I find it a bit frustrating sometimes.

Opportunities to start your own businesses for those that have an entrepreneurial side. They also have amazing talks that really benefit your personal growth. They really do care about the development of students besides grades and invest into use using something the WeNetwork programme and Ignite fund.

the strong focus on employability. The Westminster Employability Award helps students build their CV, gain experience, and prepare for jobs in a supportive and motivating way rather than a stressful one. There are many career events where employers visit, which is great for networking. The partnership with Graduate First and the new Zone 29 careers space also provide excellent support. Modules include real-life case studies, allowing us to solve real company problems, which makes learning practical and engaging.

The sense of community at Westminster is unreal. So many events are organised, such as Diwali, Christmas, Día de los muertos etc., celebrating every culture. The student centre, lecturers and visa team have been helpful in many ways for me this year. The facilities were clean most of the time (Marylebone campus at least, haven’t visited the others). The location is great as it is in central London, and it is next to a tube station. The facilities are also made for disabled peers, therefore it is accessible for everyone, which is great to see. There is also a huge emphasis made by the university on Equality, Diversity and Inclusion, which I found refreshing and welcoming. The university truly respects and includes people as they are, whether they are disabled, LGBTQ+, people of color etc. There are a lot of societies to join, so the student life is good. The graduation ceremony was also very impressive, I did not expect the orchestra and it was a nice touch added to the whole ceremony. The library is always clean and there are lots of books available, and the online website was a must for me this year, as it allowed me to have access to way more sources than I could have had access to by myself. The only thing that could perhaps could be improved concerns the food. There are not a lot of options available in the cafeteria for vegetarians for example, and there are not a lot of snacks that are not crisps or chocolate, so maybe there could be more options in the future. Overall, I’ve had a splendid time at this university and will keep the memories with me for a long time, I have learned a lot about my career but also myself, and I’ve felt supported throughout the whole experience.
