Mechanical engineers design, improve and maintain machinery and devices from everyday appliances like fridges and washing machines to advanced industrial systems such as wind turbines or manufacturing robots. They use technical and problem-solving skills and techniques to make sure these systems work efficiently and safely.On our Mechanical Engineering BEng(Hons) degree you’ll work with engineering specialists and innovative researchers on challenging and rewarding projects such as fighting robots, rocket cars, and the International Engineering Without Borders challenge.
