Bournemouth University

The university has a really welcoming atmosphere, largely thanks to the lecturers, especially within the marketing department. They are approachable, supportive, and genuinely invested in helping students understand and apply what they’re learning. The campus itself is well structured, easy to navigate, and visually pleasant, which makes spending long days there feel comfortable rather than draining. There are also plenty of cozy, quiet spots around campus that are ideal for studying, reading, or working independently. One area that could be improved is the food offering, particularly at Fusion. While it’s convenient, the quality and variety could be better, especially for students who spend long hours on campus and rely on it regularly. Improving the food options would greatly enhance the overall student experience.

My experience as a postgraduate student at Bournemouth University has been great so far. It's quite welcoming. The university has a great support system that helps students with their academic success and personal well-being. I'm glad that I chose Bournemouth University to pursue my postgraduate studies.

Best: what makes Bournemouth such a great place to study is that not only is the University Campus and student union a great hub to work and grow as a student, but the location is incredible. Being close to the most beautiful UK beaches for head clearing walks and days out with friends really makes even the most challenging times at Uni that little bit easier. The Lecturers also play an amazing role in my university experience, they have all individually equipped and inspired me to perform in each unit. The last thing would be the student union at BU, it’s just great to have such a community orientated team and building for support.

The best aspects of my time at Bournemouth Uni were the people, the nightlife and the area. There honestly isn't anywhere you would want to be more when the sun comes out and you and all of your mates can head down to the beach. The nightlife in Bournemouth has always had an amazing positive feel to it, its a fun and vibrant place to be, whether you are out on a Tuesday night TOAST, a snakebite Sunday or even a Cameo Wednesday, there is always something fun to be doing with your pals. The Clubs were a key part of my time at Bournemouth. I joined the Rugby Team in my first year, and it made my time at University 1000x better! There is always such a good feeling between all the teams and you get to make connections with people outside of your halls or your course. These are the friends that I have been closest to across my entire University Journey and the people that I am still closest to now! The people of Bournemouth are AMAZING and If I could go back and do it all over again, I would choose Bournemouth 100% of the time. (That says alot considering it was my back up choice in the first place). I would recommend so so highly.

My best experience would be the learning method here which is totally different from what I’m used to. My worst experience would be the smoking habit here.
