The MSc Legal Technology Programme offers a unique intersection of law and technology integrating legal theory with technological applications.It aims to educate graduates and professionals on legal technology innovations transforming legal practice today and in the future.It is designed for recent law graduates and existing legal practitioners seeking to gain a deep understanding of how technology can be used in situ.It is also designed for graduates in a technical field (e.g. IT, Computing, Engineering, Data Science) wishing to acquire legal knowledge to develop careers in the legal profession.What you will gainStudents will acquire a holistic understanding of innovative applications of technology to different areas of legal practice and theoretical analysis of their fundamentals.Students will be to critically evaluate issues and challenges relating to the use of digital technologies in legal practice.Students will be able to critically analyse and appraise digital solutions for legal practice.Students will develop practical skills that will enable them to pursue successful careers in legal practice with a focus on the use of technology.
A second-class honours degree 2:2 or above, or relevant professional experience in law and/or computing/IT.; A minimum of three years' relevant work experience and the ability to study at postgraduate level.
