The central location is particularly convenient. The university has various useful facilities, such as its sports centre and its languages centre. The student support at times can be rather unuseful and disappointing.

Best- there are a lot of study spaces that are quiet and have ample facilities to be able to get your work done. The face that Phil Rob is open 24/7 is also really useful because I know that if I’m in a pinch there’s always a dedicated space for me to get my work done. Other than that I think there’s a lot of social things to do in Newcastle, and the Uni is really good at letting us know what’s on. Also the careers service really needs to be shouted out! They’re so thorough and they really help with finding out opportunities that I absolutely wouldn’t have known to look for otherwise Worst- The law library recently shut down which is bad for me specifically because it was a really good dedicated space for my course which I think I needed because we have so much work and reading to do. I also think that getting involved with the student body was something that was not well advertised, for example, I volunteer for NEST and I didn’t even know you could do that until one of my friends told me you could. So I think there needs to be more visibility about the opportunities available for the wider school community. I also think this advertising should extend to job opportunities because I would have liked to work at Luther’s or for the uni for events but I don’t know where to sign up for that

Best experience is meeting new people as an exchange student who has just arrived. Worst is trying to find my way around uni/explore.

Has all the services u need as a uni student and especially because im an international student, i never felt like I didn’t have support, they are always emailing opportunities. For my degree I would like some more tasks that involve our cohort to socialize together, especially in law we don’t have labs or projects so our interactions together is very limited.

The size of the city of which the uni is located is welll suited for students because everything is in walking distance
