The best part is the facilities and research community, particularly the opportunity to collaborate across faculties such as HASS/humanities. The campus is really rather beautiful in the summer. The worst element is the management's decision to place 14% of all academic staff at risk of redundancy whilst making limited changes to vastly inflated salaries of the management team. This will reduce the quality of research produced by the university and is causing massive uncertainty for PhD students who do not know if they will have a qualified supervisor in a few months time. Additionally, opportunities to teach alongside PhDs are being reduced leaving research students with reduced pay and reduced opportunities to develop their teaching skills.

Lovely location and student support is excellent, pastoral and disability support. Bus prices are expensive and some study spaces are a bit tired

Studying geography at the Cornwall campus is great because there are so many places to do fieldwork. It's such a beautiful place to live and work.

The campus is amazing and covered in greenery. The facilities are very modern with lovely lecture halls, and amazing labs, as well as high level computers and GIS software.

The university is inclusive and welcoming. The facilities could be improved, as it seems that there are too many students and not enough spaces. For PhD students/post-docs, there are not enough desks for everyone, for example. Also, it is difficult to book rooms, as there are not so many available.
