University of Glasgow

Glasgow is such a great city for young people with loads going on and lots to do. The University of Glasgow is in such an amazing location with a beautiful campus that really sets it apart from other universities. I like that is is in the West End of the city, it is almost like a wee community of just uni students. Being part of the Glasgow Student Dance Company has been the highlight of my time at university and I know that this is just one of many fantastic societies at Glasgow University. I have had such supportive staff members at university who have gone above and beyond to help me and answer my questions. The Glasgow Uni Union is great 90% of the time but myself and some of my friends have had issues with the way in which people behave on nights out at the union sometimes. Particularly on Wednesdays when sports teams are in the union, it is overcrowded and people are really rude. I have been harassed by boys on the Rugby team before and I think the University should be dealing with these issues more seriously.

It has been great. The university Is very supportive and it’s very easy to get involved. I believe that most member of staff are very approachable and easy to talk to

Overall, I have enjoyed my time at university. In hindsight, I would recommend moving through to Glasgow instead of commuting as this has been something I have struggled with. However, the quality of teaching and approachable nature of all my lecturers makes it worth it.

love it socially, but I dislike academically, find the courses badly taught. But I have made some amazing friends for life here at this uni and have gained confidence

I have really enjoyed my university experience so far. It has been very sociable; I met my best friends in student accommodation and through various clubs and societies. The university has a great community feel, and is very welcoming of students from all backgrounds.
