Best: I do feel supported by welfare, lovely fine art building, the fine art course has great facilities. The worst is the constant drinking stufent life, would be nice to have more culture

The people I’ve met and been able to befriend! The range of events put on by students, to enjoy and to gain career experience experience.

The fine art department have great facilities I use the print room and dark room a lot however for the number of students it is quite small. Especially the dark room. There are alot of days when things are fully booked. The dark room in particular would benefit from it being bigger as it is in very high demand. The technitions are also overworked. They give their time the best they can however are always very very busy and at times can not support you to their fullest as there are just so many people.

The universities treatment of pro-palestinian activists both individually and as a collective has been deplorable. The university continues to lie about its investments in fossil fuels, weapons companies and more, while attacking student's use of free speech. The security team on the university does not protect the students but only the monetary interests of the universities governing body. The university has binned students protest art, encouraged police violence and racially profiled and disciplined protestors. Studying fine art at newcastle has incredible facilities and a really wide breadth of extra workshops, symposiums, exhibitions ect.

Newcastle University is a very nurturing and welcoming place and has made me feel safe an cared about, the only negative i can think of is the STEM bias for its funding.
