From the aerospace and automotive sectors to telecommunications and power generation, engineers who are skilled in electrical and electronic engineering are in considerable demand across the industry. Our Electrical and Electronic Engineering degree offers flexible pathways to tailor your studies. You will have the choice to select either "Electrical pathway" or "Electronic and Telecommunication pathway". The Electrical pathway will offer opportunities for detailed study of specialist areas such as Power Generation, Power Systems Analysis, Electrical Rotating Machines and Power Electronics. On the other hand, deep knowledge and understanding of specialist subject areas such as Embedded Systems, Digital Systems and Communication Systems can be obtained by choosing the Electronic and Telecommunication pathway.You will get opportunities to work in our state-of-the-art renewable energies laboratory to gain deep knowledge and understanding of emerging technologies. Our staff are involved in research around plastic electronics, renewable energy technologies, and modern communication systems and you will be able to learn more about their research and maybe get involved yourself.Our course will give you the opportunity to develop your practical skills, collaborate, communicate and be creative so you can make your mark in the engineering world and become a sought-after, skilled electrical and electronic engineer. On successful completion of study, we will issue the following award: BEng (Hons) Electrical and Electronic Engineering
