University of Portsmouth

The lecturers are very supportive and helpful with queries, I am a distance learner and it’s great to know I have the support of the online Portsmouth community forums and chats to feel included.

This is my first time attending a university course and whilst its felt comfortable and the lectures are lovely, I do struggle with understanding the context if never taught it before. I suffer with additional needs and need things further explaining to me, I find that this isn't always readily available and sometimes struggle with certain tasks during lecture times

I've really enjoyed the last 4 years in the University of Portsmouth. The location is stunning, the professors are generally very understanding and supportive, and the quality of education is fantastic. My only real gripe is how difficult getting from place to place can be- instead of located centrally, there are several campus buildings outside of the main area, and travel can sometimes be a pain. I'd definitely still recommend studying here regardless of anything else!

My experience here with MA Education Studies has been a worthwhile experience. The courses are arranged in a very systematic way. The teachers are all very professional and supportive. They are easily available wherever we need help. One particular aspect about the courses arrangement is that the courses are arranged in a way to make a layman of research understand more about education studies and feel confident enough to do research themselves. I have learnt more within this semester than what I had within the past 3 years by myself. Thanks, to all the teachers on the two courses we had this semester.

The support received has been exceptional however some of the sites are need updating. The facilities for student on courses in the evenings are limited e.g refreshments etc. The library is amazing but again the ability to have refreshments in the evening is limited as the cafe is closed.
