Cyber security is critically important to commercial and academic organisations, as well as to governments and their citizens.

On this one-year MSc you'll gain a well-rounded, multidisciplinary view of the subject area, embracing not only the technical subjects, but also aspects of criminology, risk management, law and social sciences.

The programme has National Cyber Security Centre certification and we are recognised as an Academic Centre of Excellence in both Cyber Security Education and Cyber Security Research by the UK government.

Assessment methods (Outcome qualification level): Coursework, examinations, written project (design, development or experimental) and dissertation.

Professional bodies: British Computer Society.

You must also have an upper 2:1 score in the following modules: a programming language; a computer networks module; a computer science module, such as: cryptography, software, data structures, databases, machine learning, web, networks.
