This programme gives you the chance to examine the criminal justice system’s role in detecting, punishing, and rehabilitating offenders, as well as considering the importance of the victims in the criminal justice process. As a member of our vibrant and diverse learning community, you will collaborate closely with both lecturers and fellow students. This partnership fosters a deeper understanding of the various crimes and social harms impacting the community. Enhancing your educational experience, the course features guest lectures from a range of professional practitioners. These experts come from various roles within the criminal justice system and related agencies, providing valuable real-world context to your studies. Graduates of the Criminology programme pursue roles within the criminal justice system, such as policing, probation services, youth justice, the prison service, revenue and customs, community development and roles within nongovernmental organisations that focus on crime prevention and rehabilitation.
