This two year Higher National Diploma course is suitable for students finishing college or those re-entering education after employment or career-break.An industry-recognised qualification, known to provide the practical and problem-solving skills needed by employers, will support a fast-track entry to employment for students entering or choosing a career-change within the employment market. The course is equivalent to the first two years of undergraduate study.While studying you will pick from one general pathway and five specialist pathways. Specialist pathways offered are:Software EngineeringApplications Development and TestingData AnalyticsNetwork EngineeringCyber Security.Pathways are mapped to the Institute for Apprenticeships and Technical Education’s Occupational Standards, professional body standards and vendor-accredited certification (where appropriate) and can provide professional status and progression to direct employment. A non-specialist ‘General’ pathway also allows you to complete your Diploma without committing to a particular professional specialism.With a dedicated, expert tutor team, you will learn to apply your own ideas to the Computing world, deal with uncertainty and complexity, explore solutions, demonstrate critical evaluation and use both theory and practice in a wide range of real-world situations.
