Computer Science with Artificial Intelligence - BSc (Hons)

University of Chester

One of the best parts of my university experience has been the sense of community. Because the classes are not overcrowded, it is easier to actually speak to lecturers, ask questions, and get real feedback instead of feeling like just a number. I also appreciate how practical my course is, especially the hands on labs and real world examples. It makes everything feel relevant rather than purely theoretical. Living in student accommodation also helped me grow in independence and meet people from different backgrounds.

The best part of my experience at the University of Chester has been the supportive and welcoming community. The class sizes allow for meaningful interaction with lecturers, and I’ve found them approachable and genuinely helpful. The MSc Computer Science programme is also very practical, with a strong focus on projects and applying what we learn, which has helped me build real technical skills. Chester itself is a calm and safe city, which makes it a great environment to focus on studying. In terms of improvement, I think increasing structured industry engagement, such as more networking events and internship partnerships within Computer Science, would further strengthen career opportunities for students.

The University of Chester is a great place to study because of its supportive learning environment and strong sense of community. Lecturers are approachable and genuinely interested in students’ progress, which makes it easier to ask questions and develop confidence. The class sizes are relatively small, allowing for more interaction and personalised feedback. I also appreciate the practical focus of many courses, which helps connect theory to real-world applications. The campus facilities, libraries, and student support services are well organised, and there are plenty of opportunities to get involved in societies and part-time work, which enrich the overall experience.

Personally it’s the course modules and course structure for me, university of chester has an amazing faculty and facilities. And more importantly i love the city.

the best thing about my uni experience is the location of the campus as it is close to where i stay and also a 15 minute walk from the town centre. one of the negative things about my uni experience is the communication when i was first applying for the uni as they were unclear with what was necessary when applying for accommodation and had limited photos of my accommodation.
