Studying at the University of Hertfordshire has been a positive experience so far, with supportive lecturers, modern facilities, and a lively, diverse student community that makes campus life feel welcoming and engaging. The practical, career‑focused approach to teaching has also helped me feel more prepared for life after university. At the same time, there are areas that could be improved while I’m still here, such as streamlining communication and administrative processes, expanding wellbeing support, and enhancing the overall student experience by offering more social events and improving the consistency of services across both campuses.

The best thing about uni is the support you can receive and I have always felt listened to when reaching out for help. That is both academically and for my well-being. As a commuting student, it is harder socially, but there are still lots of free events that you can go to on campus should you choose to.

The thing I like about this university is that it has 2 campuses, they provide a shuttle bus to travel from one campus to another. I stay on the dehavilland campus, it has a great LRC. LRC provides monitors to which we can connect our laptops and use to study better. They also provide a personal study rooms where we can conduct group discussions and meeting. I would say that the university conducts more events for the students to socialise more during the day time because after evening most of the students who do not live on campus leave to their homes .

The best part of my university experience has been living on campus. Since moving here, I’ve been able to get more involved in university activities, focus better on my academics, and access incredible support from my tutors and lecturers whenever I need help. It’s made a huge difference in my overall experience and has allowed me to fully immerse myself in campus life. On the other hand, the most challenging part was when I lived far from campus as an international student. At the beginning, I struggled with long commutes, which not only made it difficult to keep up with my studies but also took a toll on my health. I often fell ill, and unfortunately, this led to some academic setbacks. However, I’m incredibly grateful for the support I received from my university during that time. With their help, I was able to turn things around, and now I’m doing much better. Studying at Herts has been an incredible experience for me. The support here is amazing, and the people are so friendly and welcoming. Ever since I started living on campus, I’ve truly appreciated how beautiful it is. There’s always something happening, with so many events to attend, and each one gives me the chance to experience something new and exciting. It’s been such a rewarding part of my time here. While studying at Herts can be challenging, the guidance I’ve received from my tutors and lecturers has been invaluable. With their help, I’ve been able to stay on track and do well in my studies. I’m really grateful for the opportunities and support I’ve found here, and I’m proud to be part of such a vibrant and inspiring community. This journey has taught me a lot, and I’m thankful for how far I’ve come.

The best things, how close everything is to each other. Living on campus and only being a couple mins away from lectures is amazing. Also. there seems to be a lot of support available. Although i haven’t personally used it yet. The worst thing is probably the lack of entertainment around the area. Hatfield isn’t the best area if you want to have a real fun time.
