Our adult nursing degree apprenticeship offers you a balanced combination of practice-based and academic learning to develop your nursing skills and knowledge.

This pre-registration adult nursing apprenticeship degree will give you the knowledge, skills and confidence you need to work as a registered nurse. You will be working as part of a team in various hospital and primary care settings, including:

  • Medical and surgical wards
  • Operating theatres
  • Emergency departments
  • Nursing homes
  • The community.

We have an excellent reputation for delivering health and social care education, with state-of-the-art simulation wards to enhance your learning.

Through our mix of work-based and classroom learning, you will learn exactly what it takes to succeed as a registered nurse. Accredited by the Nursing and Midwifery Council, this programme enables you to work full-time while pursuing your studies, gaining relevant industry experience alongside professional certification and registration.

How you will learn

Teaching

Learning takes place through a combination of timetabled learning and independent study.

You can view more information about how each module is taught within our 'What you will study' section.

Seminars and workshops enable you to discuss and develop your understanding of topics covered in lectures in smaller groups. You will also be able to meet your personal tutor. Timetabled learning may fall between 9am and 9pm depending on your courses and tutorials.
