Our BSc Biological Sciences with Professional Experience course enables you to develop your knowledge of biology around your specific interests, whilst gaining valuable industry experience. This four-year course includes a professional placement year, which takes place between your second and third year of study.The majority of modules in our biological sciences course are optional, giving you the opportunity to cover a broad range of topics or specialise in a particular area such as ecology and wildlife or human biology. Within environmental biology, you'll develop an understanding of ecology, conservation biology and humankind's impact on biodiversity. Within biomedical subjects, you can focus on topics such as human physiology and the basis of disease.
