Canterbury Christ Church University

Overall, my uni experience has been really positive. It’s a pretty new university, which shows in the facilities, and there’s a lot of support available if you need it. The lectures are generally good and engaging, which makes a big difference. That said, there have been some frustrating moments, especially with miscommunication around things like timetables—it can get confusing and a bit stressful when information isn’t clear or changes last minute. The handling of the meningitis situation could also have been better, as we only got an email quite late after cases had already been reported, which didn’t feel very reassuring. Outside of uni, Canterbury is a nice place to live and has a great atmosphere, even if it can be a little boring at times.

I think CCCU is a good university but lacks a lot of support in sense of assignments. I find sometimes it’s a struggle to get the help needed; the timetable is also a bit of a struggle from somebody who commutes. aside from that, the assignments themselves are relevant to the course and I always feel at place.

The student support hub is super helpful and they are all so welcoming. Everything is so close in proximity even though the university is spread throughout the city.

There are so many places to quietly study, the university is also conveniently located near the town centre. The library is amazing and allows for a quite yet social space to help study.

The worst part of the campus is the lack of food outlets open past 2pm, when we are here until 6pm the only place to eat from is touchdown which runs out of snacks early on and doesnt have any 'proper' food.
