The BASc (Hons) in Interdisciplinary Problems and Methods is a three-year degree built around real-world problems, not single subjects. Students draw on the arts, sciences and humanities, mastering quantitative and qualitative methods to tackle challenges like inequality, sustainability and AI ethics.

Rather than specialising in one subject, students learn methods, how to investigate, analyse and build, then apply them to live challenges, often working directly with external organisations. In later years, students can lean into particular methods (data science, ethnography, design thinking) and have the option to spend a year abroad at a partner university.

This breadth makes graduates highly adaptable. 89% are in skilled work or further study 15 months after graduating, moving into consulting, tech, finance, government, research, sustainability and the creative industries.

During your time at LIS, you will:
