Our BSc (Hons) Artificial Intelligence course is meticulously crafted to equip you with a strong academic foundation and industry-relevant skills. It will ensure you're poised for success in this rapidly expanding domain. We’ll introduce you to projects, lots of practical learning and the platforms you’ll find in industry. Throughout our course you will also have an opportunity to be certified in AWS and Microsoft Azure, empowering you with essential industry-recognised skills. We offer some amazing work placement opportunities too - with companies locally, nationally and abroad. You can spend a year working in industry before you graduate, helping to transform services and products through AI.On the course, you’ll develop a comprehensive understanding of AI principles and their practical applications. The modules cover vital aspects of AI, including machine learning, deep learning, computer vision, and natural language processing (NLP).In the first year, you'll cover the foundational aspects of AI. You will learn algorithm design and programming in Python, gaining insights into algorithms, data structures, problem analysis, and software testing. Additionally, you will delve into applications of AI by creating C Windows platform applications and interfacing with AI bots like Pepper, Alexa, or Siri. Students also explore cloud computing and cyber security using Amazon Web Services (AWS) and comprehend computer architecture and operating systems.CareersThere’s huge demand for skilled specialists, who understand the opportunities of using AI in lots of different contexts.Our graduates have gone on to work in a variety of sectors, ranging from finance and public health through to the entertainment industry.Typical roles include data analysts, AI or algorithm developers, business intelligence developers, software developers and data scientists.
