The course enables graduates from disciplines other than psychology to develop subject-specific knowledge, practical and professional skills and general transferable cognitive, intellectual and academic skills.You gain a deep understanding of the scope of the discipline through active learning experiences to consider how psychological concepts can be applied in practice. Research training prepares you to undertake your own research, under supervision, in the field of psychology and for professional development as academic or practitioner psychologist.The work experience module (Applied Practice) enables you to gain real-world practical experience in a professional setting to enhance your employability and underpin your academic learning. With support from the University’s careers advisers and work experience team you will apply either for external internship opportunities or a significant work-related project within the University or work alongside practising researchers.
