The University of Brighton Accounting, Finance and Economics BSc(Hons) with integrated foundation year provides an extra year of study at foundation level. This option can open up new opportunities in this subject area if you do not hold the required academic qualifications. This route may also be a good option if you are changing career or returning to study.Our accounting and finance courses are in the top 20 in England for graduate prospects, Complete University Guide 2023.You'll complete four modules in the foundation year. You will explore contemporary issues in law and business, developing a strong understanding of the principles. You'll also build the transferable skills that are essential for study at degree level, and explore the relationship between theory and practice and how this relates to business and law.Learning is through a mixture of lectures, small group teaching in workshops and seminars, private study and course work. You'll be supported throughout by your personal tutor.Successful completion of the foundation year means that you'll be able to progress to one of the University of Brighton’s business management, accounting, finance or economics degrees. This requires a further three or four years of study. The four year route includes a salaried placement year.
