It is also an ideal springboard if you want to pursue postgraduate research.The course will give you an excellent grounding in core accounting, including taxation, financial accounting, auditing and corporate governance. But it also covers so much more, with a strong focus on employability skills. Youll be delving into contemporary issues, from the challenges of regulating fintech to the growth in cryptocurrency. Using real-life examples, you will also understand the crucial role accounting and finance plays in organisational decision-making, and youll build your research skills by completing an in-depth term paper on a topic of your choice.Through the degree, you will gain exemptions from having to take exams with certain professional accounting bodies. This means you can get a head start on a career once you graduate.CareersThis degree will open up a wide range of career opportunities. Some graduates may go on to set up their own accounting firm, while others will move into careers with established firms. Many of our graduates become accountant trainees and later work towards chartered accountant status. You could be working in an accounting firm or for another services provider, such as the NHS.Some students go on to do further postgraduate research.With this degree, you may also find yourself pursuing a career as a: Chartered Accountant, Investment Banker, Fintech ManagerInvestment Analyst, Financial Manager, Financial Advisor, Tax Adviser, Forensic Accountant
