Well, the best thing about the university for me personally, is the lecturers. When coming to university, I was shy and nervous, having coming to a new place not knowing anyone. I did make friends but also, the lecturers that I have made me feel welcomed! They have done nothing but support me, helped me when I was having a bad day, never made me feel dumb if I got any questions wrong. They made sure I had a voice and because of that, I am more confident in class and more than happy to answer questions. The bad thing I would say is the accommodations with futurelet. Though it isn’t terrible, there are a few rules that have restricted me from really making friends and getting to know others. For example the rule that we cannot have guests over after 11pm and if we have an overnight guest, we have to inform the accommodation 3 days before. This means if I go out with friends and come back late, i would be walking alone at night back to my accommodation which makes me feel really unsafe and uneasy. Though I do understand that these rules have been set due to past experiences, I don’t think it’s fair to alter the uni experience for other people because of the past. However this is not to say the accommodation is awful, it could just be a lot better.

The best thing is definitely the fact that our lecture is so small. The small quantity means that its easy to discuss and get to know one another more. It feels like having a class with a bunch of friends which makes learning and listening much easier and more fun! The worst, however, is the fact that there are some seminars where we mix with other lectures. And because we don’t know each other, it gets really awkward and uncomfortable. So it’s harder to participate and encourage one another.

The best thing is definitely the room space, it’s spacious and comfortable and modernised. It’s a room you can tell had been really thought about and considered about. The worst however is the rules. The hot water stopping at 11pm, the no visitations after 11pm and the fact that we have to inform the accommodation about overnight guests 3 days before they come. (i previously explained why this was an issue)

The buildings and classroom scheduling could use some improvement as while bigger classrooms are empty we are booked in smaller classes with no room to sit and contain the class
