The place is very comfortable and makes you feel comfortable studying in their. Bournemouth University always provides snacks for their students which make them feel like they are welcome.

Everything's close together on one campus which is convenient. The facilities for studying are generally good. There are problems with booking rooms at times and even sometimes not enough seats for all the students in lectures. There are not enough outdoor seats, and when the sun's out there is limited space to enjoy outside, and nowhere with lunch tables other than the Fusion terraces which are often shaded and less convenient to access from anywhere else on campus. Coffees are expensive apart from the student shop where the barista's are not properly trained how to make a coffee. Also all the coffee shops on campus are chains, which is a shame that BU doesn't support small independent coffee businesses on campus seeing as they are somewhat of a 'sustainable' university.

I had a problem with not being able to undertake a placement abroad due to covid once I already paid for it. After 2 years I am still owed a refund for this, and rather than helping me in this situation the university and SU keep directing me elsewhere for support. There is also a refund support fund, which I found from another student as apparently, the uni don't like to advertise they have this, in all my time fighting for the money back, I was never told about it by BU placement staff nor the SU, which is disappointing.

Silverfish in the accommodation which I didn't know about before moving there. I also viewed a refurbished house on the Open Day, but wasn't told. Assuming all houses were like the one I'd seen, I booked the cheapest option. Turns out this mean I was in an unrefurbished house which was in much worse condition and I'd felt like I was a victim of false advertising and no one clarified the difference.
