It feels great to study at this university

A very chill campus, when you want to take a break from studying you can take a walk in the nature - go to the loch and look at the ducks/swans, breath clear air. Overall the university look and feel is pretty modern inside and has great facilities. It really gives you the opportunity to make most of uni. Also some lecturers make it absolutely amazing place. Overall students in my course are all really friendly and hardworking which creates a great helpful atmosphere where you can be yourself and study something you are passionate about with other people who are also passionate. Only problem I could think of is some shortcuts which are always muddy and make us avoid them, and need some stones added to, and some more car parking spaces closer to the uni. But that is subjective.

As previously mentioned some lecturers show incredible support and understanding towards students and make uni absolutely amazing. Others are not so good and can make interesting subjects really tough unfortunately. Most courses are taught well, with some exceptions of course. Most of them are engaging and you can do decently in them as long as you regularly put in the work. Contact with lecturers is usually really good but again depends on lecturers. Some always respond meaningfully in minutes, others take a long time and return vague replies. But most of the time feedback is speedy and easy to get in touch.

It is within a big city therefore there are a lot of opportunities but in the same time it’s location is at the end of the city, many people have to travel like 4-6 hours a day to get there from far away towns but public transport takes a lot longer. People who live in the city still take about 50-60mins to get on campus from the centre. But having a car makes it easier. The city itself is very diverse and holds great opportunities for all types of people.

The only thing I truly disliked was my shower. If we had height adjustable showers my experience would’ve been great. Kitchen was fine although fridges were kinda small and some people took up more space, leaving less for me. The location of the halls in relation to shops and city centre is pretty bad since it’s really far away and you always have to get bus which is always packed. There is a shop within the uni but it is pretty small and not good for grocery shopping. Where I stayed it wasn’t that loud but there were regular parties in the halls. Safety wise it was pretty good. I paid over £6000 for 40 weeks but everything was online, so I’m biased to say value for money wasn’t that good. But I had my own toilet/bathroom and a nice little room so overall my experience was fine but could definitely be better.
