my advice to future students would be to try really hard at uni, make it fun aswell but just do not waste your time, there are lots of places to work.the sociology lectures should be more organised. social policy is really friendly and interesting course

BEST: I love being part of a sports society. The consistent training sessions and socials make for a very nice uni experience. The fact that there is a university building in the city makes it great for students who live off campus. WORST: I think the student union could be a bit more creative with their idea and branch out more into things like game night but they have other priorities, as some of the events offered are overpriced and marketed as something new where it is exactly like a weekly regular event (like the snowball). The busses are really inconsistent which hinders getting to and from uni and disrupts the overall experience.

BEST: Some lecturers are clearly born to teach, and their subjects are enjoyable and a pleasure. They make sure to facilitate class discussions even in big lecture halls. There is also support from some lecturers who provide very good guidance with assessments. WORST: I think my course could benefit from more interactive elements where students can meet each other, Apart from tutorials (3 hours long) in the first year there were no seminar-like modules which really hindered establishing social relationships with coursemates. The lack of seminars also does not prompt more in-depth discussions which can rarely be achieved in a big lecture hall.

My accomadation looked like a hotel room it was incredible looks-wise. Some things were a bit damaged or broke along the way bit maintenance fixed them quite fast, ranging from immediately if it was very urgent to maybe waiting a day or two if it was not very serious. The cleaning was unreliable, we were told there would be regular cleaning but sometimes would not come for up to two weeks. The flatmate accommodation was okay, I met some great friends but was also subjected to a borderline psychopath which impacted my mental health...
