As a final-year international student majoring in criminology and sociology at the University of Surrey, my experience has been both enriching and challenging. One of the best aspects of my course is the diverse curriculum. I've had the opportunity to explore a wide range of topics within criminology and sociology, providing me with a comprehensive understanding of the field. This diversity has allowed me to identify and delve into areas that resonate most with my interests and career goals. Engaging with faculty members has also been a positive aspect. Balancing these commitments has been a skill I've had to develop throughout the course. While the curriculum is diverse, there have been moments when I wished for more specialization options. A more tailored focus could provide a deeper exploration of specific areas within criminology and sociology, aligning more closely with individual interests. Additionally, I have never wrote an exam in my 3 years at uni and this year they just shoot us with an in-peron exam. It was hard to deal with it. in some instances, have been a source of stress. A more varied approach to assessment could better cater to different learning styles and preferences. Overall, my final year as an international student in criminology and sociology at the University of Surrey has been a transformative experience. The positive aspects have outweighed the challenges, and I feel well-prepared for the next steps in my academic and professional journey.

I'd prefer to live on Manor Park campus, but because I was a final year student I was given here on stag hill, there are 14 people on the flat and to me personally it is very hard to adjust. I have requested them so many times to change my accommodation but they haven't. I live on 4th floor with no elevator. I am an international student who lives in this country independentally. While moving in and out I don't have anybody who could help me. It is so tough for me to live in a building with no elevator. Though it is in a good location close to library and every other block but it has been giving me immense challenges, and nobody is ready to help. I myself am a peer-supporter and visit first year students on campus and support them but when it comes to me I am not been supporter by the accommodation team. I feel like the international students pay a lot more than students from within the country and deserve a better support system in any and every aspect.
