The resources available to students make settling into university life an enjoyable and easy experience as there are great tools available to help students with their first assessments and friendly staff and student support teams who are willing to help with any issues they can. The student union is good with some fun society's with some good people. The hardest part was getting used to the size of the university and the layout can be a little confusing as it is situated around the city however each building is only a 10 to 15 minute walk apart so it doesn't take long to get to lessons. The worst aspect is probably the layout as I did find it very confusing.

The best aspects of the course is that it is a fun and interesting course and the tutor are all ex police for the policing modules so know from experience what it is like in the force allowing for a smooth and informative learning experience. The lessons can vary with what you are learning and the resources used are different to other courses from seeing packaging for evidence to conducting mock interviews. The worst aspects for me are probably the criminology modules as whilst the teaching and tutors are good some of the topics are a little mundane and boring.

I like the seafront and the location is central to the sopping district and close to a lot of restaurants and the King's theatre. I don't think that Portsmouth has the best shopping centre or the best nightlife.

The teaching staff and librarians are helpful and fair when it comes to providing support for completing assessments within a timely manner. The society’s are fun and have had some good nights out at gigs and nightclubs. The worst aspects I would have to say is that it would be more helpful to receive more lesson in year 3 opposed to only one a week.

The lecturers provide useful support for the assessments and have helped me understand how the work is to be completed when I was struggling, however whilst well versed and knowledgable in their subjects I didn’t feel as tho we were provided with enough sessions with only being in one day a week could be improved by providing another day or two per week for more lessons
