Cost of living and high rent for poor quality accommodations. UOM could use their money to reduce rents or help with cost of living further; currently they do too little. The architecture is a good mix of modern and traditional but nothing groundbreaking and ruined by construction. Very hard to find your way around in some buildings as sometimes signs are inaccurate e.g. Nancy Rothwell Building. Otherwise, for student services and education, the University does a fine job.

Course content is interesting but workload is brutal and leaves no time for anything else. The lectures are incredibly mediocre. The tutorials are much better for discussion with peers and more targeted learning. I've not contacted my tutors as of yet since their office hours are hard to find online. They tell you but otherwise it's hard to find. Tutors are clearly enthusiastic about their subjects however.

Good location, 10 minutes away from the city centre and the campus. The room allocation is nothing special, neither is the safety. It does its job. I would not pay such high a rent for this place however as maintenance takes far too long, the ResLife team aren't always transparent and amenities like ovens and microwaves have clearly not been replaced for months or years. They also don't clean your room properly when you arrive.
