Potentially the most academically vigorous, intense and high quality education ever afforded at undergraduate level. As a second year economic student, receiving 24 hours of contact hours a week in econometrics, micro and macro, and the largest lecture being 7 people, I could not have asked for a more tailored approach to my studying of economics. Every question, thought and piece of research I ever wanted to ask or conduct was facilitated by world class lecturers and students who all shared an intense common passion for the subject.

My time at NCH has made up the most fulfilling and exciting years of my life. The chance to be a part of something new and pioneering as well as to receive a top quality education is something that can't be found anywhere else. I've had the opportunity to start a number of clubs and societies and have been given regular tuturials with some of the world's top academics. The work is challenging, but extremely rewarding and there are plenty of great ways to meet other people at the uni and at other unis close by.

For the size of the College the facilities provided are definitely sufficient for a productive working enviroment. The Senate House library, to which all students have acccess, is also just a short walk from the College. Sporting facillities are very minimal and I feel that the student support could do more to encourage sport, perhaps by looking into exclusive student memebership deals at local gyms.

Student support have been very helpful throughout my time and they are a great asset to the College for many reasons. I do feel that more focus could have been placed on the careers service provided by the college, which hasn't been structure brilliantly. More attention should have been placed on preparing third years for departing from NCH. Despite this, NCH is always evolving to provide a better service to its students (this is one of the virtues of being so new) so I am sure this won't be an issue once the system has been evaluated.

Small but effective. The union has been built from the ground up and has achieved a lot since its humble beginnings. It now hosts regular bar nights as well as other events and is on its way to being self-funded. It has quite a way to go before it will match up to other unions, but for a small university college it is more than adequate.

The possibilities in London are endless. This goes for nights our, places for lunch, theatres, cinemas, job opportunities etc. There is no doubt that London is a terrific place to study, despite sometime being a little bit hectic. However, the intimacy of NCH provides a welcome balance to the intensity of city life.

This is one area that needs to improve. There are some clubs and societies that thrive at the college: Debating, The Student Newspaper, The Belgian Beer Society and Women's Society. However, others have lapsed as time has gone on and there lacks a sufficient variety to reflect everyone's interests. One thing I personally think the college would benefit from is the introduction of some LGBT related events. Every student is given the chance to start their own societies and join others, but with the demanding academic focus that NCH requires it is sometimes difficult to devote a good amount of time to putting on events and running a club or society.

The courses have been structured brilliantly and the teaching has never failed to be outstanding. One-to-one tutorials are a brilliant way to consolidate the knowledge learnt in the lectures and reading.

It's pionneering and unique, employers recognize this and they also tend to like people who take risks. The Professional Programme is also very helpful in making NCH students stand out above other candidates. The only downside is the awareness of NCH - when people know about it, they are excited to meet you, but quite a lot of the time they are unaware of the College.

The accomodation offered to first years are private halls of residence across the capital which vary in price, with the cheapest being quite reasonable for London. I can only speak for my time on first year, which was a lot of fun.
