The lecturers are really approachable and want you to succeed. It feels really inclusive and diversity is appreciated. Being so close to Manchester there's lots going on and good transport links. The only real criticism I have is the use of online lectures, how ever much they try, they aren't as condusive to learning as in person lectures are especially if you have difficulties with concentration. I understand that universities are trying to find ways to cut costs but I feel that this detracts from the whole student experience both academically and socially.

The course is really interesting and is taught in ways to include all different styles of learning. The lecturers have all come from careers as OTs so are knowledgeable and can give practical advice aswell as appropriate theory. Placements are generally hard work but the best part of the course as it's real experience of your chosen career. Some Placements are better than others but it depends on availability given to the university at the time, and even if it's not the best it can still give you information about places you do or don't want to work in the future. For each placement you're asked to choose 8 places you would like to go and the team work as hard as possible to give you one of those choices. The good definitely outweighs the bad on the course and I would recommend the course to anyone wanting to be an OT but there appears to be a trend towards more online lecturers to save money but this isn't helpful for all especially neurodiverse students who have difficulty concentrating. It would also be good if Placements counted as more than pass/fail and counted towards your final degree.

Generally very good and comprehensive student support. Very dedicated and knowledgeable faculty team with a very well planned and developed course. Improvements could be more affordable and accessible food options

Excellent course content. Not keen on blended learning - find it slows down lectures for everyone. Some parts of the university are very modern and up to date, others are a fair bit less so. No plug sockets in the lecture rooms!?
