The best has to be the student support offered by the school. Worst, not yet experienced
The lecturers are very helpful to students. Course hours are good.
I love the library!!!! It has became my safe zone
I enjoy my course and the support from everyone has been immensely positive.
It is well connected and great to be in (and around) Manchester. MediaCity is a beautiful campus and I always feel safe and looked after
The lecturers are friendly and always available for chats and help, there are opportunities for extra curricular across the whole course it is wonderful.
The facilities are good but it feels like many things (showers fridges, kettles, ovens ) are cheap and ill maintained for near enough 150 a week
The support that's in place for students is second to none, and the events that are hosted by the universities student union are vast and entertaining. I have rated the facilities as a 3 out of 5 because the parking is not adequate for the amount of students that commute onto campus, it isn't possible for myself to get public transport in, so parking is my only option. A reason I haven't scored the Students' Union as a 5 is because of the sole destroying que which the students form in front of the bar and which the bar staff encourage, there has been multiple times where myself and friends have tried to break this tradition and form a relaxed arch around the bar by standing around it like you would anywhere else and the bar staff have said "there's a que", hence we have stopped using the Students' Union at busy times.
The course content seems poor, we have repeated the same module again and again with a different title. The placement opportunities have been really great though.
Great place to study for international students as its away from most of the shenanigans. You can get a free bus to media city as well where you can see lots of great buildings there and the water body.
Great facilities to support you during your stay. Teachers are friendly and always ready to help students.
University provides great access to the facilities, giving students a chance to grow.
Lecturers deliver lessons with great passion, it's a blessing to see them in class. Online delivered materials are often uploaded in the wrong way, which makes them faulty working
The university is welcoming for students and they will try to understand the student situations when they are trouble for paying fees. The university can improve conducting some meetings between senior and junior students for helping their assignments, Because I haven't seen my seniors yet.
The course hours and timing are quiet good. But it is hard to meet lectures.
Overall amazing uni, honestly when I was accepted I was so nervous cause Ibe always wanted to go to Manchester uni but omg as soon as the course started the building everything AMAZING!!! The lecturers actually put a lot of effort into the lesson plan. All the equipment for the labs are up to date and really cool... The support system is awesome, they are so helpful and understanding, I don't think I'll be able to get better support anywhere else. Honestly speaking there's nothing bad to say about this place.. One thing that I would liek to say is that for Muslim girls and stuff they should have more events and gatherings but other than everything's great. My experience at Salford has been wonderful and am really excited to study further here.. Do not regret my decision one bit. It literally is outstanding!!!
The course itself is really easy and very interesting, couldn't be more happier.. The lecturers are very helpful and reply fairly quick
Tutors are supportive when approached and the students union have loads of events, there’s a lot to keep yourself busy and the societies are helpful to meet people. Little things could improve it such as personal tutors could reach out to students to make sure everything is okay, microphones for lectures could work. Overall, I would recommend the University.
The course was taught with 2 days in person, one online for the first five weeks then it changed to all in person which I find much better. Any module I’ve done online has had students feeling like they’re being talked to and there isn’t much want to engage. We could definitely be in more because altogether I’m in for lectures 8 hours a week which isn’t much for me.
First weeks in Salford and my excitement about nursing, and happiness with peer and social activities go on 🔥 What an amazing journey has began !!!!
Amazing, super interesting and motivational lectures; however, the amount of information and work are overwhelming.
