The university is located in a very quiet place so it is ideal for studying but if you love a night out the SU is a perfect place. To add to that, Stoke is a perfect train station to take you to various cities such as Manchester, Birmingham and even London for really cheap prices. The only problem with Keele is that sometimes it can get a little too quiet and if you are not a big fan of it, you can get really bored of the place really quick. The campus is the biggest campus in the UK and it is just a lovely walk to de-stress during the exam period.

During the pandemic, most of the teaching was done online which made it difficult to cope but the tutors were always there to support you and answer you in doubt. It was very easy to reach out to tutors as you would address them on a first name basis making them seem more like a peer enabling you to ask questions easily. In person classes are done impeccably well. For instance, during anatomy each group of 7-10 are given a tutor each as well as a cadaver to go through the human anatomy which really aids with the learning process making it easy to ask questions and gives everyone a chance to get a hands on experience. Most of the learning in medical school is self directed learning, the lectures and resources will be provided to you but it is your duty as a student to carry out your own revision. However, if you have any doubts there are student services to help you out throughout the process.
