The best aspect of my experience so far is that there is lots of support available if needed. I’ve received help whenever I have encountered any problems, from timetabling issues to peer mentoring. Peer mentoring really helped. The university is also very inclusive and has lots of diverse societies and lots of prayer facilities. Sometimes, the library can get quite full which makes it hard to study on campus. Also, the cafeteria and food places doesn’t have enough seating, which makes it a bit of a struggle

The best aspect of my course is that lecturers have lots of experience and link content to their real work and findings, which helps solidify my understanding. Another good aspect of my course is they offer many opportunities for career progression, from talks with AstraZeneca and weekly career workshops to summer internship opportunities. One aspect that could be improved about my course is sometimes it is unclear what content will be examined and what is additional context. Lab work is also quite stressful and at times feels unorganised.
