NTU have great facilities and offer amazing support for students to help them in any way that they can. However the location isn’t the best, especially clifton campus, as most students live in the city so it can be hard for everyone to get transport to and from campus.

NTU has been so welcoming and everyone I have met has been so supportive and considerate. The facilities are all clean, modern and what you’d expect from a well established institution. There is a range of courses available at NTU and a range of staff all keen to help when you need them. My only suggestion for improvement would be letting students know before hand about car parking restrictions. As a student commuting I just presumed that i’d be able to park on the NTU student car park, however a day before I started I was told by another student, that this wasn’t possible and a permit was needed. Despite telling NTU i was a commuting student i was failed to be informed about any permit then when i went to buy one they were all sold out! So, my only improvement would just be suggesting that for commuting students that extra bit of guidance before starting is given out. NTU were quick to help me with this problem and it also all sorted now. But for the short duration that it wasn’t, it caused a lot of anxiety!

My course is taught at NTU, in person. I am currently studying 2 modules: American Literature and Imagining Communities. I am throughly enjoying both! But I am only in 6 hours a week! And these are all on separate days! 3 hours on a monday, 1 on a thursday and 2 on a friday. The lecturers and tutors have all been superb. All are keen to help, passionate about their subjects and genuinely care. They couldn’t possibly help more if they tried. They are a credit to NTU.
