As a university, Newcastle has really good facilities and an amazing campus. All the areas of campus are always well kept and tidy with people working on keeping it clean frequently. One of the only things I think Newcastle could improve on is the student union. Aside from a Wetherspoons, a co-op and very few food establishments there isn't much advertised or available which I believe if improved would have a largely positive impact for students.

Contact hours for my course are low however this was made known to me well before enrolling therefore I don't think that has an overall affect on how I have found the course so far. In addition to this, tutors frequently make it aware that we can speak and see them during their office hours if required.

In my opinion, Marris House is the best value for money accommodation at Newcastle. The living space/kitchen dining room area is so large and spacious as well as being nicely decorated with a modern feel. As well as this, Morris House is the only accommodation I have viewed that had a washer dryer in the flat meaning circuit laundry isn't an issue for me. furthermore the flat came with an air fryer which meant I didn't have to bring one up from home- again helping me save money. The only slight let down is the distance to town but its only 10 minutes from campus and situated in the park view student village meaning it's close to student as well as the sports centre.

I like the facilities and the library opening hours. I think cafe prices could be cheaper.

There should be more contact time for language students to practice speaking
