Making friends here has been made so much easier due to all the welcome events and societies. Also, my course so far has been incredibly interesting and I really enjoy working on my projects. Something that could be improved is the transition from learning at college to university - it’s very full on. Overall I have really enjoyed my experience so far.

The context hours are perfect for me - we have ample time outside of lectures to be working on all 3 of our projects. Something that could be improved is the expectation that we can pick up a skill such as coding easily with no prior experience - I know this is a struggle for some of my classmates. Other than that I am extremely happy with my course, the teachers, and the projects we have.

The value for money in my opinion is great. It’s the second cheapest halls available for first years, and has facilities such as a cinema room, common room with study area, and a laundrette. It’s not super cheap, but unfortunately that’s what it’s like these days. Maintenance are always very fast as well, so problems such as a leaking sink will be fixed immediately. My only issue is that if you’re on the 3rd floor there seems to always be builders / other people walking around outside the window where they can just look in.
